​Our mission at IAAPS is to combine academic rigour with commercial focus to support the transition to clean propulsion technologies. Our research uses cutting-edge simulation, purpose-built facilities and novel research tools for the analysis and subsequent optimisation of complete powertrains, related components and systems.

We are focused on developing technologies and methods to support the development of highly efficient and affordable powertrain systems, capable of pushing the limits of propulsion technology in commercial applications. We also prioritise the use of sustainable fuels and battery electric technologies wherever possible to accelerate the journey towards net zero.
